Kinnara/ Spitian Craftpersons/ Artisans: Zopa or Zo belonging to
the sub-caste engaged in handicraft activity for their livelihood is
Buddhist by religion. There are about 25-30 families left who pursue
this trade. Lately they are migrating to cities to earn alternative
means of livelihood or to places where there is demand for their products.
Their products belong to the Buddhist style and traditional Tibetan
craft patterns are used for elaboration but craft practice is native
to the Western Himalayas.
