To increase the demand for Pashm, Yak Pashm, and Byang Tsm (sheep wool) produced by nomadic herdsmen of Rupsho and Ngari Tibetan refugees of Changthang and Gaddi shepherds of Bharmour and around Dharamsala in Kangra to enable these nomadic communities to keep sustainable pastoral practices alive. The Organization also works to aid, maintain, establish, construct ashrams, schools, training and production centers, craft development centers, primary health centers, dwelling units for the benefit of the members of the society and poor weaving/ artisan communities, especially Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, IRDP and backward communities working in the Western Himalayas. It also collaborates with Extension Agencies, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Non-Government Agencies, Corporate Houses, Central and State Government Ministries and International Aid Agencies for the promotion and preservation of traditional craft practices of Rural Artisans and Weaving Communities. |
